Here it is....my treadmill! You just gotta love it! It makes me happy, gives me energy, keeps me healthy, and is extending my life every time I step on it. So, why do I have to hate it so much? It takes my time, I rearrange every daily schedule to make sure I fit it in, and now my children hate it also. Not to mention, it does not deliver in ever burning enough calories! I have to give it credit though, yes I hate getting on it but, once I am on it I love it!
Lesli asked for treadmill details...so here it goes. ( I realize this is all a bit boring and mundane for some of you but, I thought it would give me a good record of where I am at.) I have learned that our bodies like to become accustomed to every kind of exercise we do. Therefore, we must constantly "mix it up". I try to always vary my treadmill routine, always trying to push myself at least a little bit harder. I am by no means a "professional" if I can go 30 min. a day I am pretty excited. My goal is an hour and fifteen minutes, which is about where I was before Nicolette. I typically have time for 25-45 Minutes. My incline is between 3 and 8 (I just vary it during the work out.) I am constantly working on my speed. I have been trying to remain pretty constant between 5.0 and 5.5. I throw in some good minutes between 6.0 and 7.0 but, they are just here and there. This helps me to "mix it up". I have also been walking at a 4.0, incline 5 with free weights. This has been a great add in to my work out that I am enjoying. Well, there it is in a nutshell. I have hopes of reading this in a year and saying "wow, I have progressed. Good. We will see! Ya gotta have hope :)

I was reading Joey's blog today and thought it was so great she had some sayings of her toddler, so I decided to put down some sayings of my toddler:
Mom: Vivi I need to get on the treadmill and then we can go to the store. Vivi: Mom, the treadmill is broken today you can't go on the treadmill!
Vivien telling my mom " I don't need no stinking life jacket, lady!"
The other day as Nicolette was loading up her diaper..."Mom, what was that?" me: Oh, that 's Nicolette loading her diaper. Vivi: Oh, I thought it was thunder.
Vivi: Where is Ava mom, I need her to play with me. mom: Well, she is playing at Molly's for a little while. Vivi: Oh, OK I'll just run right up there to play with her.
I have to report that I think Vivien is growing up a bit. Ever since we started her "sticker chart" she is doing great on less tantrums. She also recently said "won't I be going to primary next week?" (no honey you've got a ways to go). She also has been running around with Ava and Molly all around the neighborhood thinking she is really big. It is crazy to me to think of her so big. Life just keeps on rolling by me, I don't know about everybody trying to grow up so fast! I guess I don't have a say so in this though.

I thought this was a great poem and rang so true, so...I am posting it.
Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom, I had never been: Puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep. Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put them down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
Sunday was actually a pretty OK day. I have to admit Mother's Day is not my favorite day, to say the least. I think it reminds me of memories of my mother pretty much disliking the day a lot. I could never understand this as a kid, but really relate to this now. We really only had one dramatic incident which we got over relatively quickly and moved on with our day (this is a record for us, having only one incident). We got to church on time and even got a seat. What more could one ask for?
Doug and the girls were very generous with me this year. Vivien gave me her favorite bear to share with her :) Ava gave me a wonderful card, a flower necklace, and a magnet with a poem. Also, she made a great picture at school for me with a poem on it that made me cry. Lilli made me numerous cards that were both lovely and artistic. She also made me the tile coaster in the photo above. Lexi made me a great card that had almost every adjective of the mother that she feels I am. she also gave me a plant, and note cards. Lexi and Lilli both made me darling aprons in activity days. Doug bought me beautiful roses, a book, a Scentsy :) and a new awesome hairdryer! Also, a beautiful card. My mother also sent me a very nice card.
We had a fabulous dinner at Janet and Steve's! Everything was delicious and the company was terrific as always. I didn't have to do one dish all day, and I even got a nap. This was a Mother's Day for the history book for sure! :)
When we got home last weekend from the cabin we had a great surprise awaiting in the mailbox. Lilli received a letter informing her that she had been accepted into the spectrum program at school! This is a class that she had to test to get into. We are so proud of her for testing and for doing her best! I loved how excited Lilli was in seeing that she had in fact made it into the class. We had much celebration here!! The class will entail more homework and projects but, she insists she is up for the challenge...so full speed ahead next year!
Lilli's acceptance letter.
