Happy Birthday 6-Year-Old!

Ava had a great 6th birthday. I can't even believe she is 6 but, she is so I am going to be happy about it! The day was full of fun and surprises. She started out the day with Daddy taking her to breakfast and then taking her to pick out a treat to take to kindergarten. Ava loved her birthday day at kindergarten. She got the exciting hat you see in the above picture. We then had a little get-together with friends at the park and then to round out the day...her birthday dinner with Grandma and Grandpa! It was a fun-filled busy day. Happy Birthday Ava Anna!

This is the new favorite book at our house. Pinkalicious, can you think of a better name for a book? Thank you to Grandma for picking out such a fun and wonderful book! This book will be enjoyed by the many Pinkalicious fans at our house:)

Ava loves her new jammies from cousin Lacey:)

Ava at the park with girlfriends and sisters. We had a fun time at the park. It was a little windy but, the girls still all had a blast. When the wind tried to knock over their cupcakes they had something to scream for...fun, fun!

Ava waited so patiently all day for present time.

Ava with her own Webkins. Lexi had decided that she was going to buy this for Ava's birthday with her own money. Ava was thrilled and named her new doggie Fluffy.

Ballerina Girl

Vivien was excited beyond belief that her first ballet day was here! She has been waiting to get to dance with Ms. Melanie for as long as she can remember. Many a day last year we would be dropping off Ava and Molly or picking them up and she would ask, "isn't it my turn to dance yet?" Well, yea hooray Vivi dance your heart away:)

Any Suggestions?

OK.....can I just start this by saying...I love blogging. For one, it has helped me keep a "somewhat" kind of journal for the last few months. It has been a kind of record of the goings on in my life, that I know I otherwise would in no possible way remember. It has been a fun outlet and a great way to keep in touch with family, friends, etc.

Now, can I just say I am seriously thinking of forgetting the whole thing! I am a relatively private person. So, when I thought about blogging, I new that having my life floating out there in cyberspace might pose a bit of a problem for me. However, I have left my inhibitions (most of them) at the door. I just thought well, the good out weighs the bad and with some things in life we have to go with that measure.

This evening I happened upon a realization that some random person from Ogden Utah Googled me by my maiden name and got on my blog.....well, to quote my Grandpa Z...What in the S-- H--- is that all about? Who do I know in Ogden Utah? OK, one friend who would so NOT Google me by my maiden name. Anyway, I just don't know if I really want to be out here for every Tom, Dick, and Harry.

Now, comments do help...so if your in Ogden and Googling people by their maiden names, go ahead and leave a comment. ( I promise...leaving a comment never killed anyone). Doug thinks I have gone off my rocker completely and he says..."by the way A LOT of people out there know you by your maiden name...I mean A LOT" (btw-thanks sweetie;)!! So, shall I just give it all up and leave this blogging world and the Toms, Dicks, and Harry's, out there. The funny thing is, I don't mind the random people. I love to look at other "random" peoples blogs I don't know. I feel like we are all in the same place in this blogging world and it's fun. I guess it's just these people lurking in the background I don't know about that make me cringe, just a bit.

So, what is the answer? Is it possible I am being overly paranoid? I suppose I just don't want people looking my up on Google. Is that too much to ask?

Pearl Harbor

Pearl Harbor... a great experience....when not with a 3-year-old having a tantrum. I am really glad we went. I am glad the girls got the experience of going. That is all I can say about it:)

Ava in the museum. She really did enjoy looking around. (when Vivi wasn't screaming at us all.)

The Temple - Aloha!

The Hawaiian Temple is just spectacular! The grounds are amazing, and just the spirit outside of it is incredible. This was our second adventure in Hawaii. We stopped by the temple before we headed back towards the airport. I am sad now that Nicolette was asleep in the car and didn't make it into the picture, but the day of I was relieved she had finally fallen asleep. There was absolutely know possible way I was even going to wake her!

Vivi, Lexi, Ava, Lilli, at the temple grounds in Hawaii. There was a misty rain when we were there. It really wasn't enough to get us wet.

Lilli and Lexi sharing a moment:) The big girls and I made a goal that we would come back here some day when we could all go inside together:)!

The girls agreed to pose for pictures here. I was very excited to have willing photo participants.

The Ever Coveted Side Bang...

Yes, it is true the side bang is now here, yet again. Lexi somehow convinced me and Marina that she really did want the "side bangs" no matter what! So, here they are. They are cute and I don't know if Lexi has ever been so excited by something ever. She could hardly contain her elation, until we experienced a 'bad hair day" but, all in all she is still very happy. Her dad and I are waiting for them to grow out:) on a side note, Lilli's are growing out nicely:)
