Prepare to be Amazed...

In cupcake world that is. Take a close look at this photo and tell me, do you notice anything different from your usual baked cupcake?

Here is also a before and after...NO difference in the looks of the liner after being baked! I know you all can't contain your excitement;) 

Personally, I am thrilled to have found these babies right HERE. I am sick and tired of buying darling cupcake liners only to have them ruined by the baking process.  I had no idea these liners were even out there. Thank you Tip Junkie.

School Store

Every fifth grader in Ms. Hansen's class gets to experience the class store. Every student has the opportunity to figure out what they would like to sell at their own store in the classroom. This is no easy undertaking. Every student must apply for a loan and meet the proper expectations if they want their loan approved. Once the paper work is accomplished, the student can then set into work and get their product ready for sale. The entire school is invited to attend the store and buy what they wish. (in Hansenville currency of course:).

Lilli decided that she would like a cupcake store. Now, normally this would be fine, but between me being 9 months pregnant and the store taking place a few weeks before Christmas...it was a tad on the difficult side. We set to work though and it all turned out terrific. We made these very fun snowflake cupcakes. We made tons and tons of cupcakes 3 Fridays in a row! I wish I had more pictures. We also made lots of mini cupcakes which we figured were a bigger profit margin. (store is every Friday for 3 weeks). I am happy to report that Lilli's cupcake store was a huge success! She sold out of cupcakes in the first 10 minutes and had earned enough money to pay back her loan. Good work Lilli!

We started out the morning of the 4th with these very festive homemade cinnamon rolls. (There are definite perks with staying at Grandma's:)

We celebrated the 4th this year at my mom and dad's. The girls were all a tad disappointed that they had to miss the many festivities at home. I am glad to report they survived missing the parade:)

Of course I could not let the day pass without some very festive Fourth of July cupcakes.

My "sparkler" cupcakes. (A big shout out to Mike and Karla for there cupcake help) I was running out of time and they were very quick learners and Karla's cupcakes looked better than mine.

BIG accomplishment for this girl! This is the first year that Lexi has been able to touch a firework. She has always had a pretty serious fear. Yay Lexi! Good job:)

My Sweet Ava...and Cupcakes!

Ava informed me that, my blog is VERY boring because there is never anything new on it! I decided that I'd better get off this boring streak and start posting some of my stuff!

Here are some fun cupcakes that my friend Charisse and I did for a relief society gardening night. We had flowers and carrots on our cupcakes....really fun:)

These are some cupcakes I did with a friend to help her out with a family reunion. We made lots of different kinds. These were my favorites. Charisse gets the credit for the idea. The "sundae" cupcakes were so so easy and so stinkin cute!

and, shark bitten life preservers:)

Of course, we had to do the dogs again. A few of the dogs looked like wolves but, they were still very cute.

We did over 100 this day...it was a bit insane, but very fun:)

Charisse and I did these for a wedding. They were so fun...i could hardly believe how perfect they turned out! Right down to the wrapper. I have decided the wrapper is BIG. It does tons for the cute little cake!

We also did green. Green was one of the bride's colors. These were very fun. The flower on top was not too fun, but we made it through the trying experience. The flower on top is made from royal icing. They were a royal pain in the you know what:)

We did over 60 of these.

Patsy and I made these for the same wedding. They were so yummy I could eat these anytime and anyplace. Mini cupcakes with lemon-cream cheese frosting. There were none of these babies left!
So, I've been up to lots of cupcakes these days. The possibilities are endless with the cute little cakes, no wonder I am making them every chance I get:)

You know you want one...

of these way cute cupcakes. My friend Charisse and I were in charge of cupcakes for the R.S. birthday dinner tonight. We really had too much fun coming up with some great cupcake creations. ( I think Charisse might love cupcakes as much as me, could that be?)
Anyway, the committee asked for four different types of cupcakes, each type representing a season...what a great idea. I need to be on a committee so I can share more often in great ideas.
We decided Charisse would do fall and spring and I would do summer and winter. Now, Charisse is clearly not the procrastinator I am and her cupcakes were done yesterday! So, she offered to come help me today...I was so glad she did, she also has fabulous ideas and she's not even on the committee:)

Charisse also did some pumpkins for fall. These I think are so amazing and I can't wait till fall so I can make them:)

Well, another great cupcake day. I really wish I could just decorate cupcakes all day everyday, but that would not be very productive now, would it? Doug what do you think?

Cupcake City

Last week was cupcake week for me! I clearly had a little too much fun:)
I made these fun dog cupcakes, on Tuesday, for an enrichment mini class. I got the dog idea from "Hello, Cupcake" oh I love that book!

I also made some fun swirl cupcakes and flower cupcakes.

Wednesday I made these "candy cupcakes". Again, I have to credit "Hello Cupcake". These turned out so cute! And, I had tons of fun doing these also.

Sunday, was of course the "great to be eight". I love my number eight on these cupcakes...seriously, these were amazingly fun. I truly could just spend my days making cupcakes. Alas, my life is unproductive enough so, I'd better not...
Lexi has already informed me..."she's sick of cupcakes!" (gasp)...how could my own child say such a thing?;)

to the genius of this man?

Doug has once again saved me in a crisis...whether it's fixing a vacuum, bringing my Quicken back to life, or making a cookie cutter from scratch...this guy is the man:)

I needed an eight for my "Great to be Eight" fireside for those turning eight this year. It is Ava's turn to be eight this year, so we wanted "extra special" cupcakes:)
Are these too fun? Thanks to Doug he made me an eight! I was so excited. Did his cookie cutter not make the most perfect eight cookie you have ever seen?

Ava loved the cupcakes too. It wasn't just me.

A Cutie

This was one of those WAY cute cupcakes.   I am continuing on my cupcake obsession even though I'm not eating them of late:( I can admire though.

This cupcake is actually from a wedding we attended a little while back.  I loved the colors, hot pink and orange.  It was different colors for a wedding but, I loved seeing something different and original for the wedding.  The colors were extremely fun and festive.  (as you can see by the darling cupcake).  I had to bring it home for a picture before I could eat it.  I just wanted to share with you fellow cupcake lovin girls.

Cupcakes, Cupcakes Everywhere:)

This has got to be one of the cutest little boys ever! This is my nephew, and he was over to play awhile ago and we made...you guessed it, cupcakes. Guess what, boys like to eat cupcakes as much as girls:)

As some of you may know there has been some serious cupcake obsession going on here for the last...year? This post has been growing and growing and I just had to share all of the fun cupcake business that has been going on! If you make it to the end of the post you must love cupcakes because this one is long. Awhile back we made cupcakes at Wende's and we had way too much fun. After the cupcakes at Wende's I was inspired to do the Pinkalicious cupcake. (see below)


I made these a few weeks ago for a baby shower in the ward. They were really fun to do. I made Wende's lemon cupcakes, a classic white cake and butter cream, and blueberry lemon. It was very fun to experiment with different flavors.

I also had fun taking pictures of all the cupcakes. Cupcakes are very photogenic:)

Patsy brought me some of her cupcakes quite a while ago. I had to take a picture they were so beautiful and very yummy. The pink was a strawberry lemonade that Patsy came up with...very fun:)

It's Pinkalicious!

We love this book so much that we had to make our own Pinkalicious cupcakes. They turned out really beautiful and they were so pink we wanted to cry;) (if you've read the book you will get that last line).

Here is the sign for" more" that Aunt LaRae taught Nicolette awhile ago. This sign has really caught on and she still loves to sign for "more!"
