There's Nothing Quite Like...

A nice, big meal of fake food!

Nicolette has been a tad on the destructive side these days. Towel racks being ripped from walls, entire rolls of t.p. in the toilet.  Homemade jam thrown to the floor in her attempts to make her own peanut butter sandwich. Shoving down all of her cute friends when things don't go quite her way.  Mostly, that kind of stuff. Oh, it's a good thing she's cute! I was happy to find these fun pictures Lexi took of Nicolette.  It reminded me of the sweet days of toddler hood. Yes, some days are VERY hard, but some days are also very sweet.

There's nothing quite like downing the entire bottle of pretend syrup...mmm...tasty;)
Oh, I love this girl! She's a fake food eating, tantrum throwing, with a splash of yummy sweetness girl.

Owen is now four months!
He is busy growing, learning and watching his sisters.
He is rolling over!
weight: 13.8- 25th percentile
height: 25 inches- 50th percentile
We love this little guy, and feel so grateful to have him in our family.

This boy LOVES to smile!

While Owen was turning 4 months...
Nicolette was busy on Nick Jr. (this is her favorite computer stance.)

Vivien was cleaning the playroom...(kinda)

Ava was trying hard to clean out under her dresser.

Dad and Lilli took a much needed break at the shooting range.

Lexi had tennis lessons and came home to clean.
(can you tell Owen turned 4 months on a Saturday?)

Owen loves his bumbo...(or Ethan's old bumbo)
This is his favorite spot while I am blow drying my hair or cooking dinner.

Yes, some thumb sucking has been going on with this darling boy. We keep encouraging the binkie and we are hoping for the best.
Wow...I love this baby!

Crazy Good!

The best cookies in town. They really should be illegal.
So, after my numerous stops by the local cookie shop, I could tell the sales girl was getting tired of seeing me.  The last few times I stopped by, I got the look of...'you again??' with a raised eyebrow.
I'm sure she is a sweet girl and only concerned about my waistline.
Moving on... I had to take matters into my own hands and figure out how I could get my favorite cookies without having to see the "nice" girl at the cookie store. I decided I would have to some how figure out the recipe...well, I think I have done it and these cookies and me are a dangerous combination. If you are in the mood for some peanut butter cookie danger, you can check out
blogger moms cook for the recipe. These cookies are not for the faint in heart. These are serious cookies. Yes, I've heard, "Oh, I don't really like peanut butter cookies." My only reply to that is...well, then you haven't tried these. You too can make these bad boys without having to share looks with the girl at the cookie store counter.

The cookies start out like this, your better than average, yummy unfrosted cookie.

The cookies  end up with two heavenly layers of frosting. For some reason this combination is just crazy good!
*disclaimer, these cookies do absolutely nothing for losing the rest of the baby weight. In fact, they really mess up the progress.

Dance, Dance!

The month of May always brings the girls spring dance recital. The girls did a great job dancing this year!

Lilli had two dances and did a great job.

Ava also had two dances and worked really hard to remember her smile while dancing. She did great!

Vivien's class got to be the very first dance number. The class did a fabulous job, including Vivi who got to help lead the class off stage.  Fun times!

We all enjoyed getting to watch our girls perform. Lexi and Nicolette, Dad and Owen, Grandma and Grandpa, and mom and Lilli's friend Sammie were the spectators.

Thanks for a fun night of dancing! Nicolette is ready to be on stage and finally this September her dream will come true.

A Week Ago Today...

We got to bless our little guy.
Owen was perfect for his blessing and did not make one little noise the entire time. He "sat" through the entire meeting and was held by many of his family.  Oh this boy is a trooper! I am deeply in love with him and his amazing sweetness.

We had to have blue cupcakes to help celebrate this festive occasion!

Dad, Owen, and Mom:)

Family picture with our entire group.

Owen and his biggest sister

The weather was a bit chilly, but I was so grateful for the sunshine!

Happy Boy! A big thank you to Aunt Kerri who took Owen for a mini photo shoot while I was busy getting the lunch ready to be served. I think she got a good 50 shots:)

*prepare for picture overload
Owen is such a happy baby.  He truly was just perfect for his blessing day.

I fell in love with these cute booties at the baby store.  I thought they were perfect for a blessing. Doug thought they might be a bit on the girly side, but said they were fine...so we kept them and Owen wore them:)

Poppy, Owen and Mammy

Aunt LaRae and Owen, this was the first day my sister LaRae got to see baby Owen. I think she liked him a lot:)

Dad and Owen hanging out.

The entire group of grandsons on Zobrist side (missing Ry boy)
*I am lacking in Erickson cousin photos! I will have to make up for this at the next family occasion:)

Some of the girl cousins on same side. You can see we are VERY outnumbered on the girl/boy ratio!

Cute Ben said he wanted to hold Owen.  It lasted about 30 seconds and then Ben gave the baby back, and said something to the effect of, I didn't like that!

Uncle Mike and Aunt Karla were here for the weekend.  They were a huge help to me in preparing the meal and we had so much fun getting to hang out with them! All of my girls love Aunt Karla and Uncle Mike:)

Sleeping Owen being held by dad at end of the day.  It was a very busy day full of excitement. Our little guy was ready for a nap:) Thanks to all who made it such a wonderful day! We are so grateful for the support our families are always willing to give us:)
