What We've Been Doing At Our House

Jan. 29~ Owen turns 2 weeks

We have been doing the baby thing at our house!  Owen is already growing and changing.  He went to the doctor for his 2 week check up and was weighing in at 7.5 versus his birth weight of 6.15.  Things are very busy and intense and everyone is adjusting to our new little guy:) We all love him to pieces despite our adjusting.  I do have many complaints of "well, i've only held him 3 times in my whole life." I am sure this will eventually wear off, at least I have high hopes of girls loosing track of how many times they have held the baby.  My mom has been here and done loads and loads of laundry, with holding the baby here and there.  Luckily, she's not keeping track, but has had her fair share.  That is my update from this 5girl/1boy house:)

This little guy has been a long way in the waiting.  I can't believe he is really here!  We have a baby boy for the first time in this house...it's pretty crazy and very exciting!

The Big Number 6 Has Arrived!

No, not baby number 6...Birthday number six, for Miss Vivi!

We are keeping with the birthday breakfast with dad tradition. It's going fairly well:)

I have to love the view of the tonsils here. This photo is so Vivi. Always full of exuberance and excitement. This is a picture of Vivi and her favorite friend Tiffany. Vivi had the choice of a friend birthday party or a day of skiing with dad. She chose the skiing! She did a great job and had fun. Her next request was dinner at Road House Grill with family and her favorite friend.

This picture shows how much Tiff means to Viv, the pure happiness on her face...priceless:)

OK, so this is the real reason she wanted to eat at Texas Roadhouse! When it's your birthday and you eat dinner there, you get to sit on the fake bull and the servers all sing happy birthday! Pure FUN! (when your six and your name is Viv that is)

Finally, the doll bed she has been waiting for!

I took Vivi, Tiff, and Nicolette with me to pick out the birthday cake. They thought this one looked best! It was super cute with that fun snowman on it.

Blowing out candles is always a fun highlight of birthday days.

Grandma, and Grandpa came to join us for cake, ice cream and presents. It's just not an official party around here with out Grandma and Grandpa. They are always on the top of the list for invites. I am so thankful they are always so willing to come:)

 Nicolette has made it to that very exciting time of life.  She has left the nursery at church behind and moved on to bigger things.  The first week was a little bit of a change.  During sharing time she  burst out crying when she realized it wasn't her turn to stand up and be sung to for her birthday.  I am happy to report no more crying bursts since then:) Good luck in primary big girl!
