 
Well, we had a fun, fun, night! This turned out to be quite the play. The girls both did excellent jobs and I know had a fun time getting to perform. It was a little tricky trying to watch the play as Vivien was running around shoe less and Ava was following. The little girls did watch for the first little while and then their interest was lost. They were off to the water fountain for some real kinda fun! The baby was crying and I was trying to nurse when the lights were low...a day of fun in my life.   Next...Prohibited by law? Come on now, we are at an elementary school play! So, all of my pictures are after the fact. I did get some cute video that I might try and figure out how to get on the blog. Lexi had a very exciting outfit as the mayor's wife (as you can tell). Also, Lilli looked darling, and will I forever regret letting this child get the ever coveted "side bangs"? Oh well! The girls really did do a great performance!
Well, I have to sit on the computer for awhile because...it is totally and completely quiet here! I know it is shocking, I am trying to take it all in myself. I should be returning phone calls, or really on the treadmill but, this is too great to pass up! Vivi and Nicolette are both napping and Ava is out with Grandpa.
Lexi and Lilli have their first performance tonight of the school play Bye, Bye, Birdie. (quite the show for elementary school, huh?) Lexi is the mayor's wife and Lilli is a school child. So, this afternoon will be really hectic and hard getting everyone ready but, I am sure it will be fun and I will be posting pictures tomorrow of the big event.
I have been wanting to post about our last book club selection. We read The Peace Giver by James L. Ferrell. We don't usually do "church books" in book club. We vote on books and this one was one of the top books so we read it. I am so grateful we did read this. I have a hard time sometimes getting myself to get into a church book. This one is excellent! It gives a total and new perspective on the idea of forgiveness. This is from the jacket cover Along the way, the truths of the gospel are unfolded with surprising clarity and power, illuminating aspects of the atonement that few of us have ever heard or considered before. These surprising implications show us the way to deep and lasting peace in our hearts and homes.
Although the book is mainly about a marriage relationship. It can be used in every kind of relationship we have. It has helped me so much in being able to forgive others and to overcome the hurts that others sometimes unknowingly pile upon us. I highly recommend the book!

Well, I have been trying to post this all week, and it has just been one of those weeks! I think I finally have a minute to do this!
We went to the Church History Museum on Monday night for F.H. E. They have a new exhibit there called "I am a Child of God" it is a really fun spot and the girls had lots of fun there. You walk in and there is a video explaining the pre-existence, then you move on to when you were born, etc. All of the girls loved playing in the "hospital nursery" I wish I would of gotten a picture of all of them playing together. Vivi and Lexi especially had a lot of fun there . There is a mural of Lehi's dream, the tree of fruit, a dress up nativity, etc. They also have a piece of President Hinckley's walnut tree. I took a picture of this because I love that story and I still remember when he told it. The girls behavior was pretty good at the museum. It wasn't till we left that Vivi decided to take off down the sidewalk in the opposite direction we were going! I ran after her, but couldn't seem to catch her in my flip flops, so Lilli caught her for me! On a side note, we ran into an old college friend of Doug's while we were walking downtown. It was our second time seeing him for the day, and it was just strange, because we have not seen him in years and then boom, twice in one day!
 
   
Well, we headed to Chuck E. Cheese tonight for dinner with our great friends the Langston's. Doug was on his scout overnighter. So Sara and I decided we would take the kids on this outing. ( I am not sure why it didn't dawn on me before we went that this might be a bit hard, but...it didn't) I have to say all of the kids had a blast! It was a little intense for Sara and I, as we had eight kids to watch between us. Sara is such a great friend and helped me immensely with the baby and little girls and I was so glad for her help. It was just really hard to juggle the little girls and the baby. Not to mention I think there are just too many people there and between the food and all the people it was kinda yucky. But, it was good for me. No one ever died from going to Chuck E. Cheese! Right? It was so fun to watch the girls run around and have so much fun. I was a little sad that the baby cried the entire way home from 90th South. The baby does hate the car. That is her one naughty behavior...she hates that car seat ride!

As a side note, I know that some of my girls wonder why I am always writing about the Vivi sayings. And, this is why, Vivi is 3. And, now that I am on my 4th 3-year-old I know that this is the greatest age for fun, amazing, things that kids say. I only should have been blogging when I had my other 3-year-olds, so that I could remember their cute sayings also. And now my other 3-year-olds are almost 11, 8, and 5...When did that happen?
But, 62!! Oh my we had a fun day yesterday. I call it my recent catering gig. My relief society birthday dinner. I really feel all in all the dinner was a success. I did stress about it for weeks ,I did try out my menu on the family non-stop, (no one will ever want any form of Mexican rice again), I do feel I neglected my kids for the day:( , my poor baby might have starved a bit, but hey the dinner was great! And, after getting over the mother guilt I'll be OK.
I am slowly recovering today after the whirlwind of it all. There are still many dishes to be done but, oh I am glad we are done! I have discovered it really is necessary to share the work when it comes to the food for this many people. This is something that is very hard for me and I hate to admit this, and I don't like to loose control of my meal and risk something not turning out. I did have about 5 women come and help me at about 4 PM yesterday and oh that was so awesome! We chopped, cut, sauted, chopped some more, salted, tasted, mashed, and shredded for 2 and 1/2 hours straight. It was great to have that many hands helping. The dinner was a success, and yes there is always something that could have been a bit better, and yes, I made too much, and the tortillas were not crisp enough, and I forgot the tortilla strips on the salad, and there was not enough cake, but I am ready to focus on the positive and people say it was a great meal so...on we go!
A HUGE Thank you to you know who... the blog designer, the yes I'll take a day off of work for your relief society calling, Mr. I'll hold the baby all day while you run around, Mr. let me go buy more limes because you spilled all the juice down the cabinet, and yes, let me run down to the church yet again to bring you some butter. Not to forget, sure, I'll put this dvd together and get it edited correctly, and then I'll find someone with a projector and rig it up so that your festivity has there entertainment! Etc. etc. Is there anything this man can't do? Obviously not! The most amazing supportive husband on the planet, oh you get the prize! And, let me just use the new saying learned...Yes, you are the bomb:)
So, Ava had to go to the picture studio in Kaysville so
that she could get her group pictures done for dance. She didn't want to go...So, how come sometimes I am in charge of convincing everyone into doing what they need to do? Anyway, by the end she was willing to go but, not extremely happy with the situation. I thought she would be thrilled to get to wear her dance costume just for fun. I was wrong.
Guess who forgot to make her bed this morning? I really don't like having to go through the day looking at an unmade bed. But, do I have it in me to run around every morning and make 6 different beds? I know that answer, NO! I ask that every person capable make their own bed. Wow, crazy mom.
And now for my cute shoes. My custom made by my honey shoes...I love these shoes, however, it takes a lot to get them on everyday. Getting on the shoes and then on that treadmill, it's very hard for me. Yet, I feel totally and completely compelled to do this everyday before I can get ready for the day. It can really mess up a day. I need a better plan. A less annoying plan.
Well, as I share some negativity with my small annoyances, I can't help but think of the big picture of things. I have been so saddened for some of our friends, who after a terrible snowmobile accident are now dealing with a paralysis. Life can change in an instant. And it's rarely fair. I can't help but think of them daily and how their lives are forever changed. I will be grateful for my little annoyances.
 I have decided No. So, this is my new past time, making bread. Plus, isn't it healthier anyway? I used to make homemade bread for a treat every now and then when we had soup for dinner. Now, it has become our staple. So far, so good, I have not bought bread in 2 weeks now. The kids still think it's some great treat though and I have been making bread constantly. Is this how I want to spend my time? I'm still not sure on that one. I would like to double the recipe and see if I freeze half of it, is frozen homemade bread worth it? I have not experimented with this yet. So, it's all a work in progress.
Well, Who would of thought? I must say I have always loved 101 Dalmatians. The puppies are so cute and Roger and Anita are in love, it's really great. Unfortunately, I think they use the word idiot about 1400 times. This is proving to be a problem with my little Vivien who loves naughty words anyway, let alone getting to listen to them in a movie! So, I am afraid 101 Dalmatians will be in toy jail for quite some time! I really don't need my 3 year-olds favorite word to be idiot.

OK, I am still amazed at the imaginations of my little girls! Ava and Vivien play so good together (usually) they both have great creativity and can make a game out of nothing! Today after Lexi and Lilli left for school they started in on this game with these baby beads. The beads were slinky the snake, Jason was (from what I could tell) the snake doctor. And Vivien had magical powers. They were both totally and completely enthralled with this. I got to say, it was beyond hilarious. The game ended when the magical power crown got broken and Nicolette woke up. And Of Course everyone HAD to go in to tell her good morning. The baby was so so happy when she woke up this morning, despite her terrible diaper! She's such a nice baby. I really don't deserve her!
