O.K.

So....

My picture a day did not quite work out the way I had hoped.  I am choosing to focus on the positive though.  And, I have to report that I have only had one other month with as many posts as this years March.  So, even though I did not quite make the picture a day, I feel like I still had success because it was a definite good month of blogging! So, yeah, picture a day!  I will try another month...when I get my courage back up to commit ;)

A Picture A Day

I couldn't help but notice my blog posts seem to be dramatically going down from year to year. I am really hoping to be a little more regular in my posting this year. Blogging is such an amazing way to keep a record of what is going on in life. This is great for me considering I have never been great at keeping a journal or remembering much of anything once it's over.

My cute sister-in-law, Kris mentioned to me that she has been taking a picture a day since the new year has started. I thought this a very great idea! Now, I do have some commitment issues, so a whole year sounds like a lot for me! I am going to commit to a picture a day for March, and to blog that picture. If anything it will at least help me get the numbers I need to bump up my blog posts for this year:)

So, here is my picture for today March 1,2009. Photo courtesy of Lexi.

So...my sister...

I was talking to my sister Dawnae last night. Here is our conversation...

Me: Dawnae, we all are very annoyed that you are not blogging anymore...

Dawnae: Well, you know I'm just so tired and I need camera batteries and yada yada yada (the yada's are my input not hers.)

Me: Well, yeah but, I don't really care you just should be blogging here and there.

Dawnae: Well, my problem is I'm not a writer like LaRae. (our sis. number 1 that none of us can compete with but, that's ok we love her anyway:) (again, my input not Dawnae's) I write how I talk and I think people get so annoyed having to read that. I am sure it does not make sense to them the things I am writing.

Me: Well, I write like I talk and that's just the way it is! It's fine I am sure people can understand what I am saying.

afterthoughts: So, today I am of course rethinking this whole thing. Really, I know this was probably just another yada yada type thing from Dawnae. She is a very busy mom and I don't want to discount that fact at all! I am very impressed how she does so much for each of her children mostly by herself (because of her hubby's job). So, I don't mean to be confusing, but I do write like I talk. Is this a problem? Am I totally overlooking the whole correct blog writing style? I know my D.H. has issues with the ... personally, I love the ... it helps me flow from one thought to the other, which helps me think while writing, because my brain thinks this way, one thought to the next. Constantly going no breaks for me... OK, looking for some input here:).

The plain truth... I miss Dawnae in the blog world I love looking at her blog she is my big sis...I love that my sisters blog and one of my sil's ! I think it is an amazing tool that helps us to better know what is happening in each others lives. I miss my sisters and I love that blogging helps me to be involved in their daily lives:) I don't want Dawane to be afraid to blog because of her writing style. Aren't all writing styles accepted in blog world? Am, I being naive here?

Blog Party 2008

This is where I went this last weekend. Wow...tons of fun! I loved getting to go and meet with so many other blogger moms who have caught the blogging vision:)

The blogger moms headed down to the party together.

There was lots of yummy food and blog talk:)

There was even a D. J.

Lots, and lots of cameras and picture taking going on. (This is Amy) I met her at the party. She has a great blog.

Tons of fun chit-chat. We got to meet Jill and Kristi. I have added their blogs...they are fabulous...check them out:)
Thank you to Jill and Kristi for hosting a terrific party! We can't wait till next year:)
